Rug Sale

Every rug on this page is currently reduced. It's the same curated range we sell year-round — Persian-inspired classics, contemporary designs, hand-tufted wool and natural jute — just at a lower price while stock lasts.

Sizes run from small 100cm rounds through to large living-room pieces, so you can usually find the dimensions you need without giving up the design you wanted. Free UK delivery and our 30-day returns apply to sale rugs exactly as they do to everything else.

What's in the sale

Our reductions move with stock rather than the calendar, so the mix here changes. At any time you'll usually find a spread across all four of our main ranges.

Persian and oriental rugs — traditional medallion and all-over patterns in deep reds, blues and creams, including pieces with hand-finished fringing. These suit period homes and anywhere you want a room to feel settled rather than new.

Modern rugs — abstract, geometric and textured designs in softer, more neutral palettes. Easier to live with if your furniture is already doing the talking.

Handmade rugs — hand-tufted and hand-knotted wool, where the pile has weight and the finish is visibly different from a machine-woven rug. These are the pieces where a reduction is worth acting on, because we hold very few of each.

Natural and eco rugs — jute, wool blends and scalloped-edge designs that work as a base layer or as a lighter option in a bright room.

Getting the size right

Most rug regret is a size problem, not a design problem. A rough guide:

  • Living room — the rug should sit under at least the front legs of every seat. For a standard three-piece arrangement that means 160x230 cm minimum, and 200x290 cm if you want the whole setting to sit on it.
  • Bedroom — 120x170 cm alongside the bed works if you only want something warm underfoot. To have the rug read as part of the room, go 200x290 cm and run it under the lower two-thirds of the bed.
  • Hallway — runners between 67 cm and 80 cm wide, leaving roughly 10 cm of floor showing on each side.
  • Dining room — allow 60 cm beyond every edge of the table so chairs stay on the rug when pulled out.
  • Small spaces and awkward corners — round rugs at 100 cm to 150 cm break up a square room and work well under a reading chair or in a bay.

If you're between two sizes, take the larger one. A rug that's slightly too big makes a room feel bigger; one that's too small makes it feel cramped.

How our sale prices work

The "was" price shown against each rug is the price we genuinely sold it at before the reduction — not an inflated figure set up to make the saving look larger. When stock of a size runs out, that size comes off sale, and when a promotion ends the previous price is removed rather than left in place. That's why this page isn't always full, and why the rugs on it change.

Delivery and returns

Sale rugs ship on the same terms as everything else. Free UK delivery on orders over £50, with secure tracked dispatch, and we also deliver to Europe and the USA. If a rug isn't right once it's down on your floor, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund — being reduced doesn't make it final sale.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the rug sale last?

There's no fixed end date. Reductions run until stock of that size sells through, so a rug can leave this page at any time.

Can I return a rug bought on sale?

Yes. Sale rugs carry the same 30-day money-back guarantee as full-price ones.

Are sale rugs lower quality than the rest of the range?

No. They're the same products from the same collections, at a reduced price. We don't stock a separate clearance line.

Why is only one size of a rug reduced?

Reductions are set per size. If the 120x170 cm is on offer and the 200x290 cm isn't, it's because stock levels differ between the two.

Do I still get free delivery on a sale rug?

Yes, on UK orders over £50, exactly as with any other order.

Will you restock a sold-out size?

Sometimes, but not always, and not usually at the sale price. If a size you want has gone, get in touch and we'll tell you whether it's coming back.
